O2 Stellar (Kaiser Variant) out on December 2nd

The O2 website was referring to it as the 'Stella' yesterday, but have now changed it to 'Stellar'. The reference to a radio however is still there.

I wonder whether the head to head competition with the Vario III will result in a reduction in prices and tariffs?

The radio mentioned in the specification is an error and has now been removed.

Can you provide a link to this?

You may be mistaken as the "Stellar" is supposed to be based on the HTC TyTN II which does have a side-mounted scroll wheel.

Re: O2 Stellar (Kaiser Variant) out on December 2nd

Since the spec is likely to be virtually identical to the Vario III, I can't think why anyone (currently not tied down to an O2 contract) would want to buy this rather than the t mobile version, as I believe that the 'web n walk' tariff is better than anything offered by O2 - or am i wrong here?

No, I'd go with that if I wasn't on contract with O2
What sort of data tarrifs do O2 have?

Re: O2 Stellar (Kaiser Variant) out on December 2nd

Here is (probably) the first full length review of the Stellar.

http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/4wm...ar-review.html

Incidentally, I hope O2 staff in their retail outlets read it before it appears. I went into an O2 shop yesterday, to inquire about costs and tariffs. The answer from a sales representative was 'yer what?'. 'The Stellar' I said. 'Never heard of it' was the reply.

I kinda think this'll be the case in all their stores somehow
It came out of the review well.
My O2 PM contract is up next week.
I've emailed them from their website last night asking about costs and tarrifs...no reply yet.
If I was to wait until January...do costs and tarrifs as a rule come down at that time of year?
What do I do in the meantime?...does my contract just continue with them if I take no action next week when my contract expires?

You just carry on paying O2 your monthly amount until you either cancel your contract or if you stay with O2, you upgrade to the stellar where you will enter into a new 12 or 18 month agreement.

Re: O2 Stellar (Kaiser Variant) out on December 2nd

I'm liking the HTC Cruise, pretty much an orbit but uglier, double the cpu speed, double the memory, SD 2.0 support, better camera and HSDPA, and looks like the first pocket pc phone with USB 2.0 port, hate them slow USB transfers....

I'm on the O2 Best for Business 400 tariff and the phone was FOC due to the amount of money I spend with them!
