Blackberry or iphone?
I've been asked by work to get a Blackberry for email purposes, but I know that the new iphones have a full querty email function too. Has anyone used both and is one better or more user friendly than the other please? Thanks in advance for anyone's opinion .

Re: Blackberry or iphone?
You'd have to ask if work would support an iPhone. POP3 and mobile web is superb, I have a friend with a BlackBerry and he's now looking at the iPhone.

You got that working then? Can't figure mine out, although the Leopard mail client won't connect either so guessing it's some incompatability.

To be fair, I woiuld have thought that if work want you to have a device for email purposes then they should be providing you with one?

Works perfectly for my iPhone and my Macbook, IMAP makes it so much easier to keep it all in sync and not having to review the read emails again etc...

Re: Blackberry or iphone?
If Corporate push email is the intended primary use then i'm sorry but a Blackberry or Windows Mobile device is probably the best solution. (Depending on what's running on your exchange server)
If your just talking IMAP or POP3 email access then you can probably just use an iphone as easily.

Do remember that the iphone is not yet available to corporate users so the subscription would have to be a personal one and the company would have to reimburse you. Could be a bit too much of a faff for them.

Re: Blackberry or iphone?
Blackberry, if you want it for email.
I have an iPhone and a Nokia E61, which is like a Blackberry, and for sheer ease of typing, accuracy and speed, you can't beat a real keyboard.
The iPhone virtual keyboard is good but it will get annoying after a while.

Hmm guess this one is down to personal preference. I've got a Blackberry as well with the dual keys on it, and after a week the iphone is definitely much quicker to type than the Blackberry, and the correction is ten times better. And I like it how the 'landing-zone' gets adapted depending on the word. I don't have big hands but the keys on a blackberry are very small....
Don't know about the Nokia E61 keys, but since symbian is unuseably slow compared to both blackberry and iphone I don't think the limitation is the keyboard, more the rest of the operating system...

Re: Blackberry or iphone?
I have a Blackberry and I just couldn't imagine using anything for email. It's form factor is superb and just works very well. The thought of using a touch screen interface (like the iPhone) for email fills me with dread!
