Wow, they found an ultra-low power consumption 3G chip fast, didn't they?

If they fix the SMS problems as well, I might consider buying one and unlocking it.

Don't hold your breath for May. This date has been mentioned before but sources close to Apple have also said nothing until the pre-Xmas period next year.

Well that looks like a classic example of journalistic assumptions and estimates that are totally unfounded on a trustworthy source. Anyone can make a statement like that, unnamed resource, all stories refer to the same blog which has got an unnamed source etc....I think it is shocking behaviour from a journalistic perspective....

Also having experienced the iPhone now for a week and a bit and done a lot of surfing, don't wait for 3G...I've had 3G on my Nokia E65/N95 and my Motorola A1000 and in day to day use on the phone it is not noticeably faster at all....Also take a look on youtube and you see it confirmed by people with a stopwatch
