Just bought second hand ipaq with windows mobile 4 installed, and guess what, ative sync doesnt appear to work with vista.

Any ideas or links to something I can dowload to enable syncing with outlook

Download a Vista compatible version of Active sync from www.microsoft.com

It appears Vista has its own bulit in Syncing programme and wont let active sync load.

It wont sync with Pocket PC version 4

You need to download the Windows Mobile Device Centre from microsoft, this is the vista 'version' of active sync. I did this, and my PDA syncs with my lappie as it used to on my old lappie with XP.

I have downloaded the Vista Windows Mobile Centre and sync centre but computer still doesn't "see" my Ipaq. It claims that my Ipaq driver isn't loaded, and I have searched to get up updated driver for my Ipaq - with little success. Does anyone have any tips? My Ipaq works perfectly well on an XP laptop, but I am coming up with dead ends on this Vista laptop!

I am having a similar problem with my Ipaq and Vista. I've downloaded Windows Mobile Device Centre and set up the partnership. When attaching my Ipaq the mobile centre software say device is connecting but the says it's not connected. Any ideas?

ive given up to be honest-gonna get another pda and hopefully I'll have more success
