iPhone "looping"...failing to boot

having purchased the iphone from apple store last night and then buying a guide that would "unlock all iphones" off ebay I think it's now sc£*$"ed!

UK Wk43 boot v04.02.13_G device, ran ibricker to try to downgrade
to v1.0.2 firmware but after green then red screen the device now
boot's in what I'd describe as 'kernal' mode running code down the screen for approx 30 secs then rebooting to start all over again.

Tried the power + home trick and no good.

Problem being the PC won't see it as a USB connected device now so can't restore from iTunes .

Any help appreciate before I smash it against the wall!!

thanks

Re: iPhone "looping"...failing to boot

Make sure you are carrying out exactly the right steps to get into restore mode.

1. Plug iPhone into PC.
2. Hold Power and Home for around ten seconds until the screen goes black and you hear a USB disconnect tone from the PC speakers.
3. At this point release the Power button while still holding Home.
4. Wait until you hear a USB connect tone from the PC speakers (10-15 seconds).
5. At this point release Home.

That might help - however, the text scrolling up the screen suggests you have managed to get it into some test mode. Try using iBrickr to reboot again - that may fix it.

If none of the above works, I'd suggest a search around the Hackint0sh forums, or posting a question on there.
