HI, does anybody know if its possible for the n95 to display first name, second name when your sent a text message. Its driving me nuts how it lists the senders surname first.

The senders name is displayed because you have that senders name and number in your phonebook in your phone (or phonebook in your sim).
So if it's showing Surname first that must be because that's the way your phonebook is setup...which is the norm AFAIK.

Tried this but still no joy. Cant see anyway round it but to delete everybodys surname which is pretty pointless. Only a small thing but really disappointing

Have you put the names in the correct first name and surname fields in the phonebook?

Could try sycnhing the phone with Outlook using PC sync confirming the names are all in the correct fields (correct if not) then sync back to the phone.

For reference on my N95 all my contacts appear firstname surname in message editor.

I see what you mean now you want delivered messages in your inbox to displayed firstname/surname!

sorry don't think this can be changed (can't really see a problem with it myself but horses for courses eh!)

i wouldnt like the surname to be displayed first in my received message inbox. Luckily ive been filling out most of my contacts with just a first name ( albeit with their full name in one contact field)
