Instant Messaging with O2/TMobile Data Bundles

Hi

Reading the T&C's from O2 & T Mobile websites. The £7.50 bolt ons for data useage deem that you cannot use Instant Messaging. Why is that?

I'm getting an unlocked IPhone & as no IChat on it, would wish to use a web browsre based IM Site through Safari. Would this be seen by the Mobile Co as Web access or would they see it as IM Useage??...

Any Ideas? Apple Discussion rightly removed my post!!
Cheers

I agree. They don't check. I am on three and use my data connection for push email but still only get charged the standard £5 a month.

Cheers Guys

I had the Mundu bookmarked as useage, so will go for that. Great to see I can use it as part of data bolt on.
