XDA Orbit - Are they all unlocked?

Quick question - someone is offering me an o2 xda orbit but does not know if its locked to o2 - I heard that they are all unlocked but can someone confirm this?

Generally yes, XDA's are locked to O2 (unlike normal O2 phones).

Get confirmation before buying, but they are fairly easy to unlock though by yourself.

Hi, orbits are unlocked UNLIKE MDA 3 COMPACT they are locked to t mobile and are NOT THE SAME as orbits. They use a cheap internal chassis and can be unlocked but cost around £20 at the moment and then sometimes goes wrong ( the flash reboots and keep boothing the phone up and thats all).

I know i went off track but wanted to to make sure you bought the right one. Apprt from that the orbit is good the gps takes a lil while to get your location ( internal) but is very good.

I have an Orbit that is NOT unlocked, or indeed is only partially unlocked in that it will send text messages but cannot phone out or receive calls. Autopilot says that it is easy to unlock , but HOW?
