Can I listen to SHOUTcast streams using 'Web 'n' Walk' or indeed stream YouTube videos too?

Yeah, with wnw you seeem to be able to do anything, unlike other mobile operators which don't allow certain activities.

I used to use the data modem which I got with my wnw plus contract, but that meant my unlimited data allowance was going to waste! so now I use my wnw sim in my Ameo and can listen to internet radio and by using a free program called 'vtap' I can stream videos from popular sites such as youtube and google vids etc. ( my browser doesn't support flash ).

I also use my ameo as a bluetooth modem for my Macbook whilst away from home, since I installed WM6 it works really well, it now includes the option to enable/disable HSDPA and now when I'm in 3g coverage I get a 'H' icon when transferring data.

Good to know considering I get free calls to any U.K. number from 7pm-12am weekdays and 24/7 weekends. i.e best deal out there.

PS. I wonder how long they can manage the 'any U.K. number' for?

I have been using W'n'W on my FlexT tariff with HSDPA for some months too which has been working fine with a SE K850i, and then a HTC Touch Dual. I have just renewed my contract with T-Mobile and got a SE W910i so I could try Mobile TV as well, and in the process they have dropped the HSDPA off my account. After 4 days of chasing them, they now advise that HSDPA is only available on renewal or new contract with Web'n'Walk Plus not the standard Web'n'Walk tariff. They could see I had it, and that it worked! They could see that it had been removed, but could not add it back for me.

Needless to say this has been escalated within the loyalty team and am expecting a call back by 1pm (so they promised) to see what they will do to resolve.

I will then be in search of a similar tariff to a FlexT 35 (with a £200 allowance) with Web'n'Walk (including HSDPA support) for £37.50 inclusive per month. (Ideally still with free weekend calls) - any suggestions or recommendations welcomed!

Has anyone else come across this "HSDPA removal on renewal" - and what did they do please?

The current web'n'walk deals are making the hacked iphone look quite good at the moment, with it being about £7/month cheaper than o2's offering.

I want the speed of HSDPA though, not EDGE. So for now will have to use alternative handsets. Rumour has it a new iPhone later this year will be playing catchup to 3G though!

Finally got a call back! Also spoke to head office.

Outcome - free upgrade to W'n'W Plus for 18 month term.

Guess I'll be staying with 'T' then!

I have just joined T Mobile with WnW and from memory there are three levels of WnW.

Standard WnW allows just the mobile device to connect. £7.5
WnW+ Allows your mobile and any other device using your mobile as a modem £12.5
WnW Max is the only one that allows you to stream content such as TV etc.

Not tried any of these limitations on my current standard WnW pack, has anyone else pushed it to see what happens?

Web N walk Max allows Skype , Webnwalk Plus does everthing except Skype.
Vanilla web n walk No modem use of phone or skype
