iphone maps test

hello all i have had my iphone for 3 weeks now and still love it. I bought it unlocked from ebay. My brother recently did the jail break on his ipodtouch and put on apps like weather and maps etc.

I had a go of the maps application on his touch and it seems to function better than it does on my iPhone.

Let me give you an example of the difference in functionality... When I search for "Argos Edinburgh" the map will pin point all the Argos stores in central Edinburgh. However, when I click the 'list' button, on the iPhone it just has a list of "Argos" whereas on the touch it has a list of "Argos" plus in smaller text underneith it states the address, thus making it much easier to navigate thru the list of stores.

Also, when i click the little > symbol, both show the selected store's phone number etc but on the iphone i cannot use the "directions from here" and "directions to here". On the touch, when i select one of these options it automatically enters the address into the appropriate field in the route planner.

So, would someone here with an iphone be able to see if their maps functionality is that of my iphone or my brothers touch?

Thanks

Re: iphone maps test

Just tried this and my iPod Touch seems to be the same as your brothers, ie. it has the smaller text underneath the name in list mode, and it has the 'Directions to/from here'. I think it's just that Apple have not updated the firmware on the iPhone yet to use these features, and highly doubt it would just be your iPhone.
