The excess on my car insurance is £300, if it was stolen i'd get another £45k car, would you expect me to get the old one back if it was found and then sell it ? |
so when they have found your car, that the thief has stolen, and its a bit damaged, i do believe you have the option of purchasing the car from the insurance company for a nominal sum.
we are not talking about a 45k car here either, i think the OP is just miffed at the treatment he has received after being a valued customer. in the eyes of the law yes you do have to return the offending object, but not at your expense, tell them you would like a courier to come and pick it up, as you do not trust normal mail process for the safe return of the phone, lets see how long it takes them to organise this, think you may find it never happens!
by the way what model of phone was lost and the new one that you got? and is it any better?
