3 network, good or bad these days?

3 network, good or bad these days?

I've been looking at what they have to offer and for £2 less per month than the iPhone i get all this:

N95, 700 minutes or 700 texts per month or a mix of the two, Unlimited Skype, web surfing, Yahoo! Go, Mobile mail and Mobilcast, Sling & Orb. Plus Slingbox for FREE. That's alot of features for the money, especially the inclusion of a Slingbox. All that and no added cost of £269 to buy the handset.

So, this is basically a thread to say 'sucks to be an iphone user'?

No not at all It's more than likely I'll choose the iPhone but probably for all the wrong reasons. I'm trying to convince myself that I can get a better deal elsewhere but another visit to my local Apple store last night has swayed me back towards the iPhone.

Re: 3 network, good or bad these days?

The simple facts are that the network is ok, the deals are ok, the phones are ok (mostly now). But! If you ever get a problem with the phone or network and have to deal with customer services, be prepared, to want to either slash your wrists or get a plane ticket to Mumbai to physically assault all or any of the staff there. To deal with them is the most frustrating thing that i have ever done and i believe i'm a calm person. They managed to reduce me to screaming at the phone and using the most offensive language i've ever used to any individual on several occasions. Even if you've the patience of a saint, you'll find it tried by 3 customer services.

Re: 3 network, good or bad these days?

I have never had any real problems with the customer services guys at 3. They tend to be polite and helpful.

OFFTOPIC: Is anyone else getting that annoying message when you browse the web from 3? I asked about that and the guy said that all customers get it.

Re: 3 network, good or bad these days?

Gary, your customer service experiences with Three is echoed by most people I've asked this question of. I'm pretty sure this will be my main reason for not choosing to switch over to them.

My only dilemma now is do I choose the iPhone, N95 or K850i on o2.
