MMS Issues, please help!

I can't send picture messages, nor receive them. well, i can recieve them, but it just sends me an internet link.

My phone is a Sony Ericsson W850i and i'm on a Vodafone contract, and MMS is enabled on my phone, what else do i need to do?

Same thing happened to me when i bought an ericsson. Not sure whether it's like that for all phones or just Sony but the answer was buried in the instruction manual.

Basically, you cannot receive picture messages until you've sent one first... Which therefor means that if the person you send one to first time around hasn't themselves used theirs to send a picture message they won't be able to view your previously sent message... No clue why, probably sumfink technical.

You say you already sent one now, so next time you receive one it should work. The message you say failed must have been sent to you before you sent one out yourself.

I can't send picture messages either, they just stay in my out box, and everytime i try to send, just get a failure message.

If I have problems like this then I would first check settting on the phone and make sure it is configured correctly for sending and receiveng MMS, if in any doubt then get them resent from SonyEricsson website. Secondly if you are sure that the settings are correct then contact customer services for your network, it may be something simple such as MMS has not been activated correctly on your account etc.

I'm 99% correct that my settings are correct, i'll have to ring Vodafone customer services and hope i don't end up speaking with an Indian Call Centre.....as i just don't have the patience for that.

Try that link put in the model of your fone and what network you are with then your number and they send you the settings

Nope, still not worked.

"Sending failed Retry?"

I suspect its my contract or SIM at fault, rather than my phone, as i couldn't send picture messages with my Nokia either.
