the settings should be in the vodafone website somewhere all you need is the number etc or find someone with a vodafone (an old handset) and copy them over

Hi,

The settings are generic mostly, try these ones below, they should work for you:-

Generic Settings (Internet and MMS) GPRS only (internet in brackets)

APN (Access Point Name): Contract (Postpay) Customers: wap.vodafone.co.uk (if internet rather than GPRS then the APN is: Internet)
PayT (Prepay) Customers: pp.vodafone.co.uk
Username: wap (for GPRS) (web for internet)
Password: wap (for GPRS) (web for internet)
Proxy / IP Address: HTTP Enabled / 212.183.137.012
CSD Dial up No. +447836900808
Bearer: GPRS preferred or GPRS
Data call/Service type: For CSD: ISDN For GPRS: HTTP
Security: Non Secure
Speed: 9600
Athentication: HTTP-basic For 3G devices: PAP
Port: 9201 For WAP 2.0 devices: 8799
Login in type: Automatic
Homepage:
Browsing (GPRS/
Internet): http://live.vodafone.com or the homepage chosen by the customer (Note: the experience or using the live homepage cannot be guaranteed on none-Vodafone live! handsets and content may not be available.)
MMS: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
Sending Port: 25
Receiving Port: 110
Linger/Timeout: 300

Hope this helps. Enjoy!

Re: cect iphone p168 copied apple iphone

Got my P168 working on O2... details below:

1- Set GPRS Account

Goto Home
Goto Entertainment
Goto Services
Goto Data Account
Choose GPRS
Create a new profile on mine I'm currently using a PAYG SIM so have called it PAYG O2 on Profile 8

APN (Contract) wap.o2.co.uk (PAYG) payandgo.o2.uk
Username (Contract) o2wap (PAYG) payandgo
Password password
Auth. Type Normal

2 Edit Browser Profile
Go Back to the Entertainment > Services Menu

Choose WAP
Choose Settings
Choose Edit Profile
Create a new one, I've called it PAYG O2 and choose O2
Choose Edit Profile
Rename if required
Homepage: http://wap.o2.co.uk
Data Account: Select the Account setup in 1 Above
Connection Type: Choose HTTP and set proxy to 193.113.200.195 and port to 8080
Username and password should remain empty

There should not be any difference between contract and PAYG

You should be able to browse!
