Xda Orbit unlock question

If I get my Xda unlocked, does it remove the password request also?

Cheers

Re: Xda Orbit unlock question

Thanks matey for the reply.

Actually, it's more a case of I've forgotten my PIN code/password

Re: Xda Orbit unlock question

I think the only way is to do a hard reset (you'll lose all the data on the phone).

Re: Xda Orbit unlock question

It's just the phone password and not a PUK? The other way is to reflash the ROM; lots of info on xda-developers.com if you're brave enough

Re: Xda Orbit unlock question

Just make sure you unlock the CID and follow the instructions carefully. I haven't tried it yet but as WM6 ROM has been release I'm tempted

Re: Xda Orbit unlock question

CID = Country ID

For example, if you have a German Orbit, you need to wipe the CID before flashing it with a ROM from another country or you will "brick" your Orbit.

The forum section you need is:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=316

and give the stickies a good read : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=318

p.s. is it just me or has the AVForums style sheet disappeared?

Re: Xda Orbit unlock question

I'm not going to be able to do it.
Everything requires activesync, which I cannot use as I don't know the handsets password!!!!

Ah, back to normal!

Nice one, thanks mate.
