Redemption deals with carphonewarehouse/phones4u

I am planning to get a redemption/cash back deal with carphonewarehouse or phones4u (the tariff's would be on o2 or voda) , does anyone have any experience with these deals? the only thing stopping me from going ahead is my sister who is telling me to be cautious. i appreciate her concern however i need a contract too lol

please reply back soon, i feel out-of-sync with life without a contract

I tried with Phones4u - there was a catch with them when moving to Vodafone.... you can't port your existing number.

I had to send it back when I realised this - but I managed to get a similar deal with TheseGuys

£35 per month for 500 mins and 250 texts for 12 months with a free Nokia 6300. You end up with all your money back - as long as you send back the vouchers within 14 days of receiving your bills at months 6, 8, 10 and 12.

Obviously you would have to wait another 11.5 months before I could recommend them 100%

If you don't want to port, I'm sure Phones4u would be ok - they were pretty quick in refunding.

so how does it work? when you get your 6th month bill do you pay within 14 days and you get the money back or what?...

Within 14 days of receiving your 6th Bill, you need to send a voucher they give you with the phone and your bill to them. They will refund payments made (sorry - not sure of the months and amounts - but at the end of 12 months you've got all your money back).

kk thanks, so theyll give you x amount of vouchers when you get the phone at the start and you send them off accordingly?

I've had a cash back deal with CPW, no vouchers but same thing as above. Send the bills in for each month they require (in my case 4, 8 and 12, but will vary so check the details) and you will get a cheque within 28 days (and with CPW a txt to say they have received the bill). Only catch is you have to send the bill within 60 days of receiving it or you lose that portion of the cash back.

Easy really and no need to be concerned at all, just make sure you don't go over the 60 days with CPW.
