T-Mobile Ameo

Starting work for t-mobile shortly and I get to choose a phone. Immediatly though of the most expensive one (ameo with co-pilot).

Im gonna be commuting around an hour and a half on the train each day so something with a big screen for web-access will be handy to fight off boredom. Also the sat nav will be handy as ive got my driving test coming up.

So questions are.

Anyone have any experience of them ? and are they decent ?

Is it useable as everyday phone as im a fairly heavy texter ? (i found the vario II very good)

Is the camera good enough for grabbing the odd drunken snap ?

Re: T-Mobile Ameo

I got one just over 2 weeks and managed to knacker it on day 1 by shoving the sim INSIDE the phone! and its been sent back to be mended
SO BE CAREFUL how you put the sim in its quite tricky and the battery has a lock on it

However i did play around with it for a bit and it hooked up nicely to my wifi and the screen is huge!

You CANNOT use this as a phone and would definitely need a bluetooth headset.

Its more like a mini lap top than a phone. I rarely talk on the phone so it suits me but if you chat loads u may not lioke it

I'll try and get one for a look at first. I would usually just get it and sell it if i didnt like it but im not sure if its gonna be deemed as company property.

Re: T-Mobile Ameo

I went into the T-mobile shop and they let me have a play with one.

I was quite tempted by it as they were offering me a good deal, as space cat says though it's clearly not a phone. Also it would be a pain to transport.
