W850i + Bluetooth + BMW

W850i + Bluetooth + BMW
I have a W850i and BMW 3 series e46. The phone connects to the bluetooth in the car and then disconnects around every 30 seconds.
BMW say that the phone is incompatible although I am not sure I believe them.
Has any one tried this combination with success or not as I need to establish if the problem is phone or car.

This happens when the inbox (or sent messages) of texts is 'overfull'. Try and empty them and then try again.

Thanks that worked!

I have to decide whether to try and get a refund from BMW now as they charged me for "inspecting" the problem, and then gave me duff info.
