WND Dual-SIM Phone?

Does anyone know where I can get the Dual SIM phones from WND? I have been looking for a two line (simultaneous) in one handset GSM phone for forever and these guys at http://www.wndtelecom.com say that they are making them.

Has anyone tried these phones? Does anyone know where to get them from?

Re: WND Dual-SIM Phone?

Do you specifically need the phone to do this? You can buy sim adapters pretty cheap (someone linked to a site a little while back)

Dependent on your phone you either have to chop the two to make them smaller, or they fit directly.

Have a search back a couple of weeks on this forum and you should be able to find it

The problem with SIM card adaptors is that they can only activate one line/SIM at a time. Which means that you have to turn one SIM off in order to activate the second one. Whereas with the Wind Duo you can activate both SIM cards together. ie: you can hold the first line coming on your first SIM & make a call using your second SIM.

I didn't have the opportunity to test any dual SIM phone from WND Telecom, but they sure look interesting. I just noticed that they have a phone with an integrated earpiece that they call Atom Van Gogh. That’s really interesting for me. Check it out:

Re: WND Dual-SIM Phone?

If the two sims are on the same network you could have two lines moved onto the one sim.

I just read a post on another forum where a user is using one SIM from UAE and the other from UK.

Hey GSMagic, i'm about to buy this phone - http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/dualsim/index.htm#grey - which can run 2 sims from 2 different networks at the same time.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: WND Dual-SIM Phone?

The thing is that I want to use both lines at the same time. I have heard that the DUO 2000 has two transmitters/receivers enabling me to send and receive phone calls on both faces at the same time.

Re: WND Dual-SIM Phone?

Hi guys, im a new poster here and just wanted to update you on the above phone.

There is a new model of the WND Duo being released in October, and I have seen and used this phone, and its amazing. I know the guy who was the distribution rights for the Middle East.

As opposed to the phone that was mentioned that you can use the 2 sim cards simultaneously, this is literally 2 handsets in one, it has 2 cameras, 2 memory cards, is Tri Band and is very user friendly.

If anyone is interested in purchasing this phone, get in touch with me.

Re: WND Dual-SIM Phone?

GSMagic -

I don't know whether it's any help but I use a dual sim card adapter which takes my private Virgin SIM and my work Vodafone SIM cards. I have the Vodafone line diverted to my Virgin line so I get both sets of calls on the same line. It does mean that my work Vodafone a/c is charged with an outgoing call to Virgin if some one calls my work number but then the firm is paying for it. The only time I need to switch SIMs is when I want to make a call on the firms a/c and that's not really any hassle as I have the "Dual Card" switch customised under a soft key. I've used these adapters this way on a V600, V3, V3i and now on a V8.

Works for me.

Cheers!

I guess you're talking about the Duo 2200

It's the best solution to stop carrying two handsets! Both SIMs work at the same time and they are BOTH active.

It's a great innovation, those WND guys are genius!!!
