New Phone Required

I'm just off the phone to Vodafone regarding my contract. The phone i'm using is a Motorola Razor which i got about 2 & a half years ago, the battery is now totally knackered. I got a free upgrade a year ago which i gave to my brother, but it was on an 18 month contract.
I'm just after a bit of advice on what i should do.
I was going to wait for the Iphone but after finiding out it only has a 2mp camera i've gone off the idea. The camera is the main draw in my choice. I read the Nokia N95 has a 5mp camera which is great. But this handset is £300 on ebay.
What would you guys suggest?

Re: New Phone Required

You can search for most phones, for example all these phones Feature a 3MP Camera or better.

The N95 does have a 5MP camera but I've heard reports the quality is still not that great - slightly grainy.

Re: New Phone Required

If the camera is the main draw then consider the Sony Ericsson K800i, Nokia N73 or Samsung D900.

Re: New Phone Required

The camera is good on the N95, but not as good as people think it will be.

Increasing the number of pixels does not make better quality photo's, it just makes bigger photo's. But it does give you a lot more flexibility when you edit them on a PC.

That said, it's still just about the best camera phone there is and the best thing about the N95 is the brilliant video quality.

Re: New Phone Required

Thanks for the advice guys. I think the N95 has won my vote. The photos on that site are better than my current (3yr old) exilim at 2mp & add to that the sat nav features and it's won me over. Now to find one on ebay........

Re: New Phone Required

After a bit of scouting ebay i've found that £300 is the average price.
I could just buy one then sell whatever upgrade i get in 6 months but i'd prefer to try something a little easier.
Could i sign a new contract with vodafone on a £27 package for 18 months and pay £100 for the phone and put my current number on it, then put the new number on the contract i've got with 6 months left. Then when the 6months is up i just don't renew the contract because i've got my old number on my new phone/contract.
Hope i've explained it ok, would vodafone allow this?
