Please can someone tell me if there is a way to find out which network a mobile is locked to ?

I have been given a mobile by a friend without a sim in it but she can't remember the network it was locked to.

Is there any way of finding out this info ?

If there's a network logo on the phone then it's easy, it'll be locked to that network; but if not, get sim cards from as many networks as possible and put them in the phone one by one, if it's locked it'll only be able to accept one of them

Alternatively go into any phone shop and ask them to test it for you - they should have sim cards from every network available for testing
