Vodafone Data Changes for June 2007

Just a heads up , VF are changing the pricing for data and it applies to all users including those who have existing contracts which includes data usage in their text packs. (i.e most of the anytime contracts for the last couple years)

http://www.vodafone/co.uk/datapricing

Looks like lots will be using the T&C clauses on the increase in charges to get out of their contracts unless VF sort something out. The 13MB I get on my text pack could cost me £30 odd extra a month if I checked my mail every day for example.

Thanks.

The one thing I was worried about when leaving Vodafone to get my shiny new N95 on O2 was leaving the free Vodafone Live behind. they'd already started to try and charge for train times so it was only the odd free footy result I was missing, but not any longer.

Dam... One of the reasons I went with vodafone last year was the fact that text allowance could be used as data. I don't use a lot of data (nothing to a few hundred kb a day), so this new charge is going to mean that I'm worse off I went for an 18 month plan and still have about 6 months left. I can see how heavy users will benefit, but low uses are actually being penalised.

Can't you cancel if they've changed your plan that much? If they won't let you I'd be straight on to OFCOM.

It must be an unfair contract term that lets them change your contract that much unilaterally.
