On many IPAQ's if the battery is completely dead you need a mains charger to kick off the charging cycle, USB and car chargers often won't work from cmpletely dead.

I dont want a charger I want a sync cable.

I was just stating that the charging part of the cable worked just as well as the detection thing atm I cant hook my PDA up to my computer other than bluetooth and thats a pain in the arse because its so slow.
