Question What to buy??

Afternoon folks.
My V3 is on it's last legs at the minute, and I'm looking to change.
I'm willing to change network if the package/network suits.
Where possible, I buy my phones sim-free, and try to purchase before they become "common".

So now, I'm in the same boat again.
Looking for something "out of the ordinary". Something with a decent camera (even though I'll probably never use it!). Probably something that's 3G capable, to open that side of things up to me.
I likes my gadgets, so something with "bells and whistles" would appeal.

I've looked at the Nokia 8800 Scirocco, but haven't read too many reviews about them.
Also looked at the N73, but they're probably too mainstream already?

Any and all suggestions welcomed.

Nice one Uri'.
Must admit the N91 had slipped under my radar.

But since you mention the 8gb version is to be released soon, what are the chances of the "older" 4gb version being put into the PAYG section?

It's always possible but very unlikely i think; due to early Firmware problems (no issues on current firmware) most of the networks were scared off supplying this phone. It's dificult to get hold of one direct from networks or on the high street.

Plenty of stock at online suppliers though.

If MP3 use isn't a major reason for purchase It's probably not the best phone for you though as it is very MP3 focused. (in fact i think it's better than any standalone MP3 player I've used!)

Build quality is also superb as the majority of the phone is made from stainless steel although this does make the phone 50g or so heavier than the norm

Lack of TomTom support is about the only downside I've found

Re: What to buy??

Thanks again.

MP3 isn't a major factor, but maybe that's 'cause I've never used a phone as an MP3 player?! N91 does look cool though, and I've certainly never seen one "in the flesh". Reminds me of the Nokia phone that was in the first Matrix.

If I can pick your brains for another minute or two, what do you make of the N95? Noticed it on the Nokia site, and it seems to be a fairly well specced unit. Good phone? Any websites selling them?

Re: What to buy??

I'll probably be replacing the N91 with a N95 once the N95's firmware has had time to "Settle". Probably get one August time.

Firmware updates aren't a huge issue as they are done from your own Pc via Nokia PC Suite app now.

Looks a great phone but don't think it's available until at least 1st week in April.
