Bluetooth on motorola V235

Hi. Im new to this but hope someone can help. I bought my 12 year old son a Motorola V235 for Christmas. It hasn't got bluetooth on it. Apparently his mates have all got bluetooth on their phones and can send and receive pictures etc using it but he can't. Is there some way he can send and recive images etc or should he just be pleased it's not costing him loads of money for texting? Will WiFi be the new thing next month and he'll want to update to that then? Just because he can't do it he's looking to spend £50 on a Motorola L6. thanks for any help. Emma.
