Freeing up Phone Memory on Nokia N73

Could someone please tell me how you access what's on your Nokia N73 phone memory & then delete what's not required.

I would like to install something that can only install onto the phone memory , however I keep getting a message on the phone saying ' Not enough memory available , please free up some Phone memory first '

Regards James

Press and hold the Menu key (that's the 1 to the left of the 1 & 4 buttons) and after a couple of seconds the top left shows all applications you have running. Switch to them 1-by-1 and you must exit each 1 to free up memory.

Hope that helps...

That does make sense, however not quite what I meant.

I mean how do you access what's actually installed onto the phone memory. I want to install some s/ware, however right at the last stage it tells me ' not enough phone memory available ' & to free up some space first.

I have plenty of applications installed onto my memory card , however this piece of s/ware has to be downloaded onto phone memory unfortunately. Just wondering how you access it & free up space.

Regards James

James,
Go to menu>Tools>app manager. There you toggle left & right between phone and memory card applications. Scroll down list and see ehat you don't need. You could always type *#7370# and reset phone. Did it myself last night and freed up loads. brought the phone back upto about 47mb free. Then I sold it this morning

Re: Freeing up Phone Memory on Nokia N73

Download and install "Y! Browser"... this app lets you see ALL files/folders on your phones internal disk, including hidden/system folders

Go go c:\data\installs and you will probably see a load of .sis files for things you have installed. All these can be deleted, they are just backup copies of the installer files that the phone saves, they arent needed

If you have installed loads of apps/themes you can recover LOADS of space this way
