Which PAYT Phone should I get?

Hi,

I will soon be working in the USA for a few months and require a Pay-as-you-talk mobile phone, preferably on the Vodafone network.

Obviously, being able to function in America the phone must be at least a Tri-band (if not a Quad-band) but being a tight-wad I would prefer not to spend a huge amount (perhaps up to £100, if pushed).

Could anyone suggest a model and/or online retailer that may suit this purpose?

If size is important then I would say go for a Motorola V3. If you want a bit of a fancy phone with a good camera then I would suggest either the Sonyericsson K750i or a SE V630i as they are both 2mp camera phones with memory cards.

The V630 has just come down to £120 in Vodafone stores (as far as I can remember). For this you not only get the phone, sim etc, but also a 256mb M2 memory card and a set of speakers which may come in handy!

I have gone for the Razr V3 Black which is currently £72 from vodafone, as all I really need it for is for calls (not music or camera function).
