I've been with O2 for years and prior to that BT Cellnet or whatever they were called. I've currently on the O2100 tarrif giving me 100 mins x/net and 100 free text messages for £25 a month. I've noticed in the past 4 months i'm constantly going over that to the tune of about 200-250 texts and mainly keeping my voice calls to around 100 mins.
Now i would like the Sony K800i and have previously called to upgrade to that phone and stay on my tariff (this was before i noticed my extra costs) but they refused giving some excuse probably because of the tariff i'm on is not good enough! I've looked at Orange and have some nice looking 18 months contracts (Dolpin 25 with 150 mins and 850 texts) however it's 18 months and i wouldn't use all the texts or the minutes. They have a 12 month contract with 600 text but on 70 mins of call time which i think i'd go over. I'm not a huge user as you can tell...
Does anybody know of any good tariffs that might be good for me? I have seen some sites that off money back in periods over a year but for some reason that doesn't sound appealing as it seems too good to be true.
I'd also like to keep my number so how'd i go about that?
Hopefully somebody can help me, not changed provider before so am completely clueless. |
Hi there I can only give you a bias opinion, I am a T-mobile customer and they have a price plan called flext, which simply gives you an allowance each month to use as you wish, e.g. the tariff I am on gives me £255 each month to spend so every time I send a text it takes 10p off and for every voice call minute it takes 20p off etc,,, so it allows you use your account as it suits you, that way you only have to keep your eye on your balance,, ( you get a text every week (( if you wish )) that informs you of your balance )
I find the flext priceplans amazing but remember to check you get good coverage where you live work otherwise it would pointless being on a network that gives you poor reception.
Regards Brian.
