Question TomTom Nav 6.

I currently have TomTom Nav 6 on my XDA Mini S and works a treat. However i dont seem to be able to clear the navigation. I want to have the TomTom on without it needing to navigate me to a destination, strange as it may seem i want to use it just to show Rd names as i'm driving through a town instead of it telling me to turn around because it's trying to navigate to the last destination programmed in.

Anyone able to assist???

Many thanks
Bloomer.

Re: TomTom Nav 6.

Touch the screen for the menu, scroll right with the ">" button until you see "Clear Route" and hit that.

If you cant find that option, it probably because you need to go into preferences and select 'show all options'. TomTom can be run in a 'simple' mode with some of the menu options hidden to make use simpler for some people. God only know why they think that option needs to be hidden.

And yes, its handy running it without a route so you can just use it as a speed camera locator.

Re: TomTom Nav 6.

Autopilots answer is spot on. One other setting is worth knowing about is "Warn only if POI is on route" in preferences>manage POIs>Warn when near POI. If your are using TomTom without a route planned e.g just for safety camera warnings, then you will not get any warnings if the box is checked because no route is planned. The only irrating thing about this is that you will get warnings on roads nearby depending on the distance set before a warning is triggered.
