Best web browsing mobile

Hi
I am new to this forum, so forgive me if this has been covered.

I am looking for a new mobile/PDA with a decent web browsing facility so that I can have full access to hotmail, ladbrokes and cm-online to name a few.

I currently own a SE W810i and I can't run these pages on it.

Lookes at a T-Mobile Vario II today which looks good, but I am not sure if this will allow me full access to the above websites.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Best web browsing mobile

Been running a VarioII on T-Mobile with Web n Walk Plus for about 3 months and find a vast majority of web sites open ok. Hotmail is supported fully as is msn chat, Ladbrokes opens but you need to scroll around quite a bit to see all the page and CM-Online opens fine on its html version with the same scrolling around as most over web pages.

Re: Best web browsing mobile

windows mobile 6 displays web pages in high res, with option fit to screen which works fantastic!
i have no problems at all browsing using it!

its like the opera browser which is well rated however the new ms version renders the screen a lot quicker!

Re: Best web browsing mobile

I had the same problem - went for the Vario II yesterday - very pleased so far. The full keyboard is very handy and the phone isn't really that big to carry about in a pocket.

Re: Best web browsing mobile

Go with a symbian device if you want a desktop browsing experience.

I have the Nokia E61 and it is excellent, hardly any scrolling involved and fast as well.

I have had three generations of Windows Mobile devices, the last one being a Vario 2, however, i've always been disappointed with internet browsing.

Although IE works, it does not give the desktop experience. If you want that, you must use NetFront, which is very good, but slow, or Thunderhawk, excellent but even slower and requires a subscription.

The Vario 2 has a fantastic keyboard but as a phone, it sucks, but that applies to most Windows Mobile devices.

Haven't used WM6 but I won't be in a rush to change any time soon.

Re: Best web browsing mobile

Have also used Opera but I would place it third place in relation to NetFront and Thunderhawk.

Re: Best web browsing mobile

wm6 explorer beats oprera and all others! still no tabs however the speed, fit to screen scaling and high res mode has made me get rid of opera!

Re: Best web browsing mobile

I have decided to send my T-mobile Compact III back.

I can't access enough of the websites properly.

Not sure what to plump for now.

I want to access the following site www.cm-online.com, which requires flash, log in and get full functionality.
Basically I am after a phone that is as close to my laptop as possible.

Anyone got any ideas?
