anyone challenged detail in cashback deals?

In claiming cashback on Onestopphoneshop deal I misplaced the "vouchers" that CPW require you to send back with the copy bill, so I just wrote a letter.

Of course they have not paid me a penny nor replied to my calls/emails/letters on the subject. I've recently complained to my service provider, will see if that bears fruit.

Seems to me to be legally challengeable (I am a lawyer) - no loss incurred to CPW in their not receiving the voucher over a letter, therefore they shouldn't withhold the cashback. Not sure I can afforf to take this through Court though!

Anyone challenged this with any success?

Re: anyone challenged detail in cashback deals?

Nope.

They clearly state no vouchers no cashback. Pain in the ass but thats the Terms and conditions you sign up to when buying the contract.

These companies are banking on people to 1)forget to send the vouchers back and 2)to lose them.

They don't even accept photocopies of anything.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like your getting any money.

Has nothing to do with the service provider, its a third party company.

Hello mate! sorry to hear about your ordeal. I have had a similar cashback deal with carphonewarehouse for nearly 10 months now. Didnt need a new contract, but I took it, since, it was a new phone for 0.99p per month .. 12 months contract

Anyway, back to the point. I ordered it on phone, and they never sent me any vouchers or anything else saying about cashback. But I have always printed the front bill page (dont get any bills mailed either ), and just request on top of bill for a cash back. Never been asked any questions, never refused. Just got my latest cheque this week. They even text me informing me that they received my request, and then once they have mailed me the cheque...

Hope this helps .....
