thanks for all your replies, some ov them way over budget, about £100 or just over would be ideal and she would like to take impromtu pics of our kids rather than have it as an mp3 player

Go for a K750i then Jason, smashing camera and only about £80 at Carphone warehouse. I've been using a Nokia N80 but went back to my K750......forgotten how easy it is to use
