D900 Forgotton Phone Password

My daugther has put a password on 'privacy' for sending & receiving messages which she has now forgotten. This has blocked the phone not the SIM. Anyone any ideas on how to clear this password.

Thanks

Re: D900 Forgotton Phone Password

surely a factory reset will do the job? altho this will mean clearing all she has in the memory on the phone itself (saved files, photos, mp3's or whatever, incl address book if stored on handset).......

look through the menus for a factory reset option if she doesnt mind losing all the details......if she doesnt want to lose them then call either the network or the manufacturer and ask if they know a way to bypass it.....

failing that flashing the bios might work if the phone allows it via a computer......

or reinstalling the OS......sounds rather a rip off to charge you £40 for sometihng like that tho, i think i'd say to the network (assuming its contract not PAYG) that unless they give you a free way to restore it you'll cancel the contract as the feature is no longer available.....

Nope, no way to do it through the normal menu.
