Using non 3g mobiles on the 3 network

Whats the deal then fellas?

I've got a small mobile phone shop near me doing cash back deals on the '3' network. The deal is cheaper than normal because the shop keeps the mobile you're meant to get with the contract and you just get the sim card which suits me fine. Im thinking of getting the new LG KG320 which is lurvley!

What I want to know is if I use a this or any other non-3G mobile with this new contract, can 3 find out and will they stop the service as a result of this?
