Help me choose one of these - Anyone got one?

After several years with PocketPC phones i fancy a change to a smaller handset for a while. Got the shortlist down to these 4 but can't decide.

Appreciate comments from anyone who already has one of them or some alternative suggestions (other than Nokia's as I can't abide them)
I like Samsung though!)

Any comments on MP3 player functionality and battery life especially useful

Samsung D900 - Nice and small but plenty of features although believe there are some issues with memory card brands and max sizes?
Samsung D830 - Always like flips and this one seems tiny, well specc'ed and some verygood deals about on this
Samsung X820 - Mad small which is appealing but no Mem card slot is possibly a big drawback, although some of the online shops are almost giving these away (10 months free line rental on a £30pm 12 month contract!!)
Sony W850i - quite like the idea of a combined MP3 player/mobile (even though i already have 2x standalone players) although this one does look a bit plasticy and toy like?

Easy. . . D900

The other half exchanged her E800 (touch sensitive one) as she just couldnt get to grips with it. The D900 is similar software but in a much better design with a better camera. We had brief play with the other samsung phones in your list, last weekend. The software is very similar on them, it really comes down to design and how impotant the camera is to you. She Obviously wanted the newest most expensive one!!

just got the w850i, and it's a nice bit of kit. I always check expansys support forum to see the pros & cons of phones before i decide which one i want.

Quite like the Qtek 8500 as well but the proprietary headphone connector looks a right pain in the butt and no-one seems to make an 3.5mm adaptor to fit this yet

Re: Help me choose one of these - Anyone got one?

I got a D900 they day it was released and I like it just as much now as I did then (I usually get bored of phones quite quickly or when everyone else starts to get them).

To save myself some typing, someone had a similar question to yours and I posted some random musings in their thread...

Don't know what phone to get ?

Re: Help me choose one of these - Anyone got one?

Well I've taken a real good look at all of these in the flesh now and the only one that really stood out was the X820; this phone is just so light and amazingly thin. If only the storage was expandable!

As for the D900 yes it's a nice well built phone but i actually think i prefer the feel of the older D600 to the D900. Not sure why??

The D830 just seems a bit bland?

As i thought, the W850i just felt a bit cheap and plastic (slightly toy like)

but......after having a good look round for some reason despite my dislike of Nokia's I found myself strangely drawn to the N91 4Gb music phone. Now i've read all the posts on here about database corruption etc.. but have to admit I am very very tempted to pick one of these up, all the reviews of the N91 I've found so far all seem to be quite favourable as well. Apparently the recent firmware updates have made them much more stable...any one with an N91 care to comment on how they are finding it??

Re: Help me choose one of these - Anyone got one?

Ive had a few samsungs flips and the last one D500 slider. I prefer the sliders and find them easier to use.

I had a look at the D900 and thought it was nice but decided on something new and went for the W850i.
Ive only had it for a few days but up to now am very impressed with build ect and ease of use. It is to me a refreshing change on the samsungs.

How you mention you like the idea of a mp3 player and mobile with the w850i theres also the w950i aswell which has 4gb with it and a touchscreen which should be good with opera browser that it uses but its big bigger than phones you mentioned so you know and has no camera

mate at work has a N91, with bluetooth on but not in use and 3g on(good signal) he can't last a full shift without turning it off to save battery life, he really hates the phone. the screen is very poor tbh.
