N80 shouldnt be freezing or restarting. My N80 never has. But then again i know how to handle computers. Formating can only temporarily work if you treat the phone wrong.
Tips:
Keep your phone memory as free as possible.(ok to store messages, contacts tho) . It is used for temp files and swap file. If space is too low phone will become unstable.
Always put software, music, video etc. on memory card. This is what it is there for. Use it! Its very cheap to upgrade to 2GB even.
Close applications you are not using and exit applications correctly instead of leaving them running in the background(one of the simplest mistakes) as it eats up RAM. Little RAM = slow system/bottleneck.
Dont install too much bloatware that takes over your phone.
Keep startup and hidden programs to a minimum(auto lock, virus scanner etc. are mostly ok).
C:/Data/installs needs to be emptied often if you install programs (be nice if CCleaner was made for Symbian). C: is your phone memory. Everytime you install something a copy of the installer is kept in this folder. So delete once installed.
Hope that helped.

Shame really because the WiFi is brilliant and the screen res is good too.
Mine was given to a Authorised Nokia repairer yesterday for a repair/firmware upgrade and after the receptionist handed the handset to the engineer and he read my snag list he decided that it should go direct to Nokia rather than trying to fix it themselves.
Looking forward to getting it back in 5 days turnaround.
If the snags & faults are not corrected Im going to trade it in for another 7610 (at least I got a decent signal with the 7610)
PS: Nokia service center staff were very helpful |
N80 is better in every way compared to 7610. So dont worry i am sure it will be ok.
