Advice on choosing new mobile 'phone

Hi.
Just looking for some advice.

Can anyone recommend an excellent, problem-free, smart-looking, efficient mobile 'phone that I can upgrade to?

My requirements are:
Hyper-slim (if possible), light and flip-style.

I'm currently on contract with Orange.

I've been very interested in the Motorola V3i Deep Violet as I think it's a very smart looking 'phone. However, I've read some bad reviews on it. Any comment on the pros and cons of this 'phone?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Regards

BionicDan

Forget the current Samsungs, look here: http://www.t3.co.uk/news/247/communi...s_ultras_go_3g

he he I'm posting this link everywhere as it's good news if you want a Samsung.
As for current Motorola's, forget it, they have the most useless user interfaces of any phone AND there is a whole new range of RAZR, RIZR and every other ZR due out by the end of the year with MUCH better and brand new user interfaces. Google for news on the Motorola KRZR or the RAZR MAXX to see what's comming. Also the Sony Ericsson W950I which will be out in October and the M600I are both only 15mm thick but feature packed although they don't have camera's.
An the current Samsung ultimate phones might be interesting for you if your not fussed about 3G, the range even includes a nice windows smart phone but it's not a flip phone.
At the moment this may interest you as an upgrade:

Re: Advice on choosing new mobile 'phone

Simple advice... don't go with the latest thing... go with something built on an existing and tested platform... the N series and the majority of the current Motorola range have not really been proven...

E770/E780 are a little thicker than the new range, but are built on fixes from the D600 software, which wasn't bad to start with...
