Memory Card Transfer

Heya guys I am still currently using the 64mb memory card that came with the Nokia N70 and wanted to get a bigger card either 2x512 or 1x1GB what do you guys think ?

Anyway back to the point, I wanted to know since most of the apps are installed on the memory card itself how would I go about getting everything over to the new card without the phone not detecting some of the programs that were initially installed on the first card ?

If that doesnt sound too confusing any help would be appreciated.

Also what type of card would I ideally need if anyone else also has a N70 ?

Re: Memory Card Transfer

I use two 512s with my phone and I find it infuriating having to swap cards all the time. Go for the largest card you can afford

FYI - I own a W810i so I can't recomend the actual cards you buy?

Re: Memory Card Transfer

I think the N70 uses the same as the 6680, which is a Dual Voltage RS MMC.

I've just bought the Nokia N73 which has the mini SD card.

My old phone was a Nokia 6680 which has a Dual Voltage RS MMMC.

The problem i've got is,
my old memory card has Tom Tom on it and i want to transfer it to the new one.

I have a card reader and the app on my laptop.

Is it just a case of drag and drop?

Any help appreciated.

Re: Memory Card Transfer

Drag and drop will work fine, as long as they are both the same symbian OS. I think the N80 has a different OS to the N70 and since the N73 is newer, TomTom may not work on it.
