Samsung E900 Hot Stuff ?

I just saw this on another Forums i use, and was wondering if anyone else had heard of this problem ?

Bf's phone, when he charges it now, battery lasts for about 15 minutes and has also started to overheat. Burnt his leg when it was in his pocket and is now bubbling at the top of the screen. Its a bit worrying, I have said not to use it until he takes it to O2."


Sounds serious to me, maybe Dell supply the batteries,

Don't use the phone... at all.

This sounds like a serious problem involving either the battery or one of the processing elements of the phone, most likely to be ther battery... and if a lithium ion battery gets too hot and fails internally the extra energy has to go somewhere and it's usually through the casing. turn it off, leave it off and don't turn it on again. That handset MUST be replaced. If it is returned as per warranty it will be replaced, if it is within customary no-question replacement time (30 days for a same model replacement on O2) it will be replaced... don't use it as an exploding handset may be bad for his hand or possibly genitalia if in his pocket...
