Exclamation sony ericsson woes

SE are a rubbish phone making company. My w550i has broken 5 times and they have been unable to fix it. So they had to replace it. The w810i is no better as that comes up with the white screen of death and the center button breaks easily. Only the symbian UIQ ones dont break that is because the OS is Good

Sounds like you were unlucky there. I also had a w500i and a w810i and never had any problems with either phone.

It's like everything there's good and bad

I've had 8 different SE models over the last 3 years. Not a problem with one of them. Bad luck I guess but I HAVE had problems with several Nokia's, so I guess they make crap phones too?

All consumer electronics have faulty models, it's life, get a replacement and move on

Or you need to take better care of your phones, all fashion phones are going to be more fragile than a phone that is purely a phone.

SE have always been better than nokia for me, and that's even bearing in mind that my K750 is currently with SE because the joystick stopped working. These things happen, that's why we have warranties.

I can't see how the OS can "break" a phone.

I've had SE phones since the early 90's analogue days (238 was my 1st). With the exception of a couple of dodgy early T610i's, I've never had any problems with them. My work phones are either Nokia or Motorola and they are built out of paper by comparison and always go belly up

Cheers,

Simon

Rubbish. a phone doesnt "break" because it has a different OS on it.
You said the center(!) button breaks. how is that to do with what OS is running?
you need to tell us how they keep breaking or be more Careful with them
