New contract

Hi, i'm after some opinions on the following contract for a N80:

o2 online 50 - 12 months - (50mins + 200 texts) - £19 - N80 = £99.99.

This is now at the sort of price I was waiting for but have heard a lot of bad things about o2 online. Comparing the above tariff/price with the carphonewarehouse for instance it looks a very good deal:

o2 20 - 12 months - (50mins + 25 texts) - £20 - N80 = £429.99

So is o2 online really that bad? And also how can I contact them to see if they have any N80's in black as the website only shows silver ones

(Not a good start when I can't even find an email address or phone number for them, to ask a simple question!).

BTW - To keep my number, how long does it normally take to get it ported and what is the standard cost for this?

OK, first of all O2 Online are on 0870 6003009. One of their advisors can put you in contact with a sales advisor if you wanted to buy over the phone.

O2 Online are essentially a cut-down service in some respects. All billing is done online, you generally receive little/no correspondance by mail. O2 online operate as a different company from O2 UK for one specific reason; they don't have the cost involved with running a network of stores and so can offer better tariffs.

You will not have any more problem with online than any other operator as long as you're ok with administering your account via the internet and over the phone. Also bear in mind that you get a better deal to begin with on O2 Online so save deals are less likely than in the case of O2 UK.

Porting can take up to 10 days from time of initial request, but this is rarely the case. After two working days of making the request you should either receive confirmation of date via SMS or cust service will be aware of this by then.

O2 online have great tarrifs only thing I would say is a problem is when u try to administer your account online.

Whenever you email them you always get a reply from India. It normally sounds like a robot is completely off the topic and im sure has just been cut and pasted.

Well after a quick look about and a few phone calls I've cancelled my contract and am ready to go for that o2 online one, only problem is nowhere seems to have any black N80's
