That is a good deal - don't know whether it works, but I might try and renegotiate my T-mobile contract with that in mind.

I'm going to try and get a K800i free from O2 tomorrow as I'm due an upgrade. I'll keep this mind when I call them, cheers!

I've seen K800i's free from a few mobile deal sites so hopefully O2 will do it too, if not I'll do the usual and tell them I dont want to renew my contract.

If they call my bluff I'm happy to leave and get a new contract with T-Mobile or someone else.

Nothing ventured nothing gained!

Check out the prices for the K800 on the t-mob website - its definitely quite good, and worth mentioning when you come to upgrade.

However, i will probably be jumping ship (from o2) - the T-mobile Flext tariffs are way better than anything the competition is offering at the moment.

I’m glad that T-Mobile haven’t changed the K800 too much. I was a bit annoyed when they changed the K750 to the D750 (pointless imo). There’s still a stupid logo but at least it remains black!

The prices were pretty good on the FlexT tariffs - I'm on the lower end, but £50 for a K800 on the Flext20 is about as good as anywhere. Flext20 would give you 170 minutes or 340 texts or 170 mms, or any combination.

Its £50 with O2 Online with a £19 per month contract (75 minutes, 300 texts), but the upgrade prices are rarely the same as the new contract prices.

I guess that for me FlexT is the better bet - O2s pricing for MMS is a little strange (1 mms = 4 texts on their plans), I tend to find that I'm not particularly regular on usage month to month on text/calls, it varies wildly, so FlexT will just work better for me.

Of course, YMMV.

I got my K800 free on O2 through CWP.
12 month contract with the first 10 months half price (£17.50) so only two months at £35. 400mins and 100 texts.
Not a great deal of texts but for the cost per month i dont mind going over a bit.
