Advice needed -which mobile & which network?

Hello Guys

This is my first post on this site, so forgive any mistakes. I've been browsing for years and thought it's about time to post.

Anyway, i have a double pronged quandry. It'll soon be time for the old annual upgrade and i'd like to avoid the mistake i made last year. I plumped for a Sony K750i on Orange and although i think it's a fantastic phone, the signal (reception) was always terrible. I tried 3 different models, thinking i had a fault , but all were as bad as the other and it was pretty bad at home in east Sussex and all over the country on my travels.

In the end i took out a new contract and purchased a Nokia 6230i, which had much better reception. So firstly i need some advice on what phone you all would reccomend. My priorities are - 1. Good signal reception; 2. Good battery life & 3- gadgets, ergonomics etc. I do like the look of the new Nokia 6233 and N91 but i'm concerned with the short battery life. And are the new sonys going to be better at reception????

My second problem is should i stick with Orange? I have been with them for about 8 years and the service has been 35% appalling, 45% just ok and probably 20% brilliant(just down to whoever answers the phone) Now the tariff i'm on is pretty good - what do you think: Select 750 with additional free 200 mins and 120 texts all for £35.

Are there any other networks who have packages/tariffs similar to this
and
which network has the best network coverage?

Basically if another network can match or better my tariff and has better coverage than Orange, i will probably move.

Sorry to ask so many questions, but i really needs some help, i'm constantly losing calls and its getting to be quite an issue.

Cheers

Rich

If you want good battery life, forget the N91.....its a great phone but drinks battery very quick!!

T-mobile flex 35 is a great tariff, probably one of the best value for money around, only downside is that its an 18 month contract. Signal wise it will be similar to orange, but their customer service is better than orange IMHO.
