Recently I have been having a problem with my Motorolla V500 (it is on Orange pay-as-you-go if it makes a difference). The problem is that I can hardly hear the person I am talking to when making or receiving a call, this almost always seems to be the case though when speaking to some people the volume is fine. There is no problem with the volume when the phone is ringing or when I put it on speakerphone during a call (which I have to do most of the time) so i'm not sure if it a hardware problem or some setting has gone awry.

I have tried altering the volume during a call using the button on the side of the phone but it makes no difference. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?
