I was going to buy a XDA mini s but have discovered a new model is now available from t mobile(vario 2). Does anyone know if o2 is bringing the new version in and if so when.

No its not out at this time, but is due anytime soon, in May on T mobile. I was wondering if anyone has heard if it is also going to be on O2 around the same time as I havent found out as yet despite emailing O2 on a couple of occasions.

Have a look under T-Mobile. I heard Orange will be releasing the device you ask about which is known as the "HTC Hermes". It should be commercially available in June and sports 3G, Wifi as well as the usual bits.
