XDA Mini S Infrared Remote Control

Hi

I have an Xda Mini S and would like to utilise the fast infrared capabilities to use the PDA as a remote control.

I have installed a few demo software apps (Vito etc) and they install ok, however the pda won't recognise the remote signal for teaching, or transmit a signal (so it won't do any of the vital things!)

Is there a setting I need to tweak on the pda to activate IRDA sending or is there something else I am doing wrong?

I've tried a few demo Remote control apps on the mini s, none of which would work.

I don't think there is a working remote for WM5 at the moment but I'd like to be proved wrong.
