Question Requesting a PAC before my contract ends

I have three months to go on my orange contract. I've discovered that a lot of the great deals for existing custers is an either or option with the handset upgrade unless u are prepared to sign up to an 18 month contract.

Therefore I'm considering leaving orange but keeping my number. I asked when was the earliest I could request a PAC and was told 30 days before the end of my contract. I thought you could request a PAC anytime but you would have to payoff the rest of the contract????

you are right , but you must tell them you want to either pay of your contract or if there is not much time left, transfer and pay to end of term, you could also speak to someone in retentions who have a bit more power than customer services and they want to keep your custom and can give better deals.

I don't agree that the best deals are on 18 month contracts.

There are equally good deals for 12 months, and when you factor in total cost of the contract, plus the fact that you *will* be wanting one of the latest phones in 12 months time, then you see that 18 months is too long and a worse deal

If you leave Orange early, remember to add the cost of the remaining contract rental to your calculations.

Look at www.reestitmutton.co.uk and www.mobilechecker.com
