What's the next cool small phone out?
My contract is up and i need a new phone. at the moment i have a standard V3 so ideally i want something of similar sleekness. the V3i is ok i suppose but the camera is a little poor as far as other phones go.
tbh, i'm just a gadget freak and am looking out for a new toy.
anything spring to mind? size IS important

If you're a gadget freak then try holding out until the Nokia N80 is released

If you want small ........
You want the VK2010
http://www.vkmobile.com/hqe/news/vkn...vknews_idx=317
I'm going to get this when it comes out.
I've got a XDA Exec Brick for all my Browsing and Email that I keep in my work bag so I want the smallest possible phone for when I just want to carry a phone in my trouser pocket.
I was going to get a VK2000 - but its a bit too cut down (no bluetooth/camera/mp3) - the VK2010 has all these and looks cooler.

Granted, most of the N series is chunky but I would not class the N70 as a brick or the N80 for that matter.
Vipen's original post mentioned, "gadget freak and am looking out for a new toy".
I suppose if size was the be all and end all then get a Nokia 6233.
Or if you want something totally off the wall get a BenQ Qube.

I'm not really a Nokia fan but more a devotee of Symbian OS and in particular S60 (aka Series 60) UI. So if it ain't Series 60 I, for one, won't be interested.

If you dont class the N70 in todays market a brick, then I dont know what is a brick to you.
In my opinion the N70 is a brick and is why the N91 or N92 may appeal to less people.
Why anyone would consider the N70 or N80 is beyond me. Very ugly phones like most phones out there.

As a gadget freak myself I have not yet been excited since the arrival of the V3.
This was some years ago and i still think had it remained exclusive it would still be the phone to have.
Since then the only phone I would buy in todays market is the Nokia 8800 or the V3i. Everything out there is very ugly and just bland and although they may have a mega pixel camera or be able to play MP3s as a gadget freak you should already own an Ipod Nano and the Sony T7 or T9 digital camera.

Try the following from Motorola A925, V980 or C975, SE P series (although a good range of phones) or the infamous Nokia Communicator series 9500/9300/9300i. I class those as bricks. I cut my teeth on a Motorola MR30 with high power battery so most of today's phones are pretty slinky imo.
I put far more importance on a phone's useability which to me translates into good and intuitive OS and UI than the fact it's less than 100mm high, 40mm wide or 10mm thick and weighs less than 60g.
If you want really small then I hear you can buy a Nokia 8210 really cheap from ebay

i tend to agree. i have the standard v3 at the mo' and tbh, it's the only phone i know which is comfortable in the back pocket whilst sitting down. some may be small but the shape is sometimes alot to be desired.
it's a shame the v3i is not better specced, it's ok but just lacking behind the current crop of phones and of course like i said, i'd like to be at least with the pack.
i own a casio z750 camera and iriver h120 mp3 player which are great individually but i'd really like a phone which has a decent megapixel camera and a removable storage media for mp3s.
i tried the v3x but it seems the quality is not up to scratch with the v3. and that's just the problem. nothing really 'has it all' if you include size and quality into the equation.
i reckon manufacturers could easily do it it's just they want to drip feed us and make as much money on the way.

anyone know when the new Sony Ericsson m600i is released?
I am using an Xda IIs at the moment and it's driving me mad. Bloody aweful phone, keeps crashing, nightmare. I want to get rid, and the m600i looks to fit the bill.

Will look out for this quote if you decide to sell it on the forums!
Personally it's the W810i for me, or maybe the XDA Mini for 12 Months until the better MiniPDA's (with wirelessG & half decent cameras) come along.
12 Months isn't that long, and since I got my current V3 I've got used to the belt clip so no longer worried about tiny phones.

you need to update the software on it to the latest version and get rid of the o2 software, that's what makes it crash, after that it's rock solid...,
http://www.my-xda.com/xda2s_soft.html
Go for the co-oporate intall, use the code 0506 , that way the o2 stuff will not be installed..

liking the looks of the SE m600i, very sexy looking phone, seems slim but very wide. Im keeping an eye open for a slim phone with decent but not neccessarily top of the range features, i dont need more then 2mp photos or tons of memory for mp3's chances are i wouldnt be able to use my etymotic earphones with it so its pointless. Saw some pics of the VK2020 and that looks hot,
Any one have experience of VK's build quality? to be honest i hadnt heard of them before today
