Motorola phone alarm clock unreliable

For the last year I have had a Motorola E1000 and I used the alarm clock feature quite regularly, but every now and again it would fail to go off... I just put this down to being a fault in the handset.
However a few days ago I got a new Motorala Razr V3x and am having exactly the same problem!! Twice now (out of three mornings) it has failed to go off! whenever I do a test on it it will always works fine - which is totally confusing!
It is so infuriating as it means I have to use a back-up alarm clock when I shouldn't have to!

Anyone else experienced this? Got any ideas?

Motorola Alarm

Yes, I've had the same problem with my V3 (now have V3i).

I'm pretty sure that the alarm failed to ring after I'd been editing the ringtone alert. If you haven't edited your alarm, then it must be the handset.

But you're right - once it happens you can never trust it.

hmm now that you say that, I think it could be that I have edited the time before setting it - I usually set it at a slightly different time each day, so the last thing I do is alter the time and then set it. I will try leaving it at the same time each day and see how reliable it is then.

Thanks
