3 Network for voice usage: pros & cons?

Hi,

What are the pros and cons for the 3 network? I am quite tempted to take-up the talk & text 600 plan just because it looks very competitively priced for voice, and this essentially will be the use I will have of my mobile [I always thought that the killer app for a mobile is voice!]

However, I am not certain about the quality of the network and would like to hear from existing subscribers (call drops, switch to Orange's 2G when out-of-coverage, service/support, recommended mobile phones for 3,...)

To be clear I am looking to compare 3's network for voice usage against the GSM-based ones from the likes of Orange, T-Mob, Voda,..., not against their WCDMA-based ones.
